Trees planted eight years ago finally strong enough to hold a boy's weight

My two little guys discovering how to be playmates when the big brothers are at school

Flowers in my garden

The first apple pie of the year, made with apples freshly picked that were also free

A 4-year-old proudly wearing stripes and plaids, whose generosity reveals to me my own selfishness

Seeing a horse from B's perspective

Friends who send home gigantic zucchinis to save me from the gumball-sized ones my garden is producing

Making fresh verde sauce from tomatillos grown by a friend

Sorting through piles and piles of clutter because we have more stuff than we need, more than can possibly use

30 pairs of mismatched shoes

matchbox cars

Superman capes on the lawn, soaked from the sprinklers

Those little faces I see in the rearview mirror

Mountains of messed up laundry... we have plenty of clothes

A child crying in the night for water, and all I have to do is turn on a faucet

Nightmares that cause us to pray together in the silence of the night

Watching those little boys jump off the dock into their daddy's arms with absolutely no fear

Laying hands on a friend, believing You for healing because I believe You are enough

  2. "You are enough" - I love that. It takes the desperation out of things for me ;)
