This week the rain came and melted all our snow away. It was dry for a few days, and then the cold returned, frosted our trees, and dusted us with another layer of snow. It's f-f-f-freezing out there.
Most of the week we laid low as we each got the stomach flu one at a time, which meant we had a lot of laundry.
A. lot. of. laundry.
Brecken is pretty enamored with the new washing machine. He watches me very carefully while I turn it on, and I know that if I forget, just once, to set the child lock, my clothes are getting washed on extra hot for three hours.
Since we were home for the most part, we spent a lot of time in pj's and curled up on the couch.
I love Greyson's little face peeking out from the blanket in the background of that pic. Rowan wasn't too sick to play dress-up, which explains the boots.
We read a lot of books from the Christmas basket. I try to pick up one or two new Christmas books each year. They get packed away with the ornaments, so while they're out, we read them a lot.
There was a little silliness as they started to feel better.
There was also a lot of snuggling with puh-PPY (which seems to be the universal name for all his favorite toys, including his lions and monkey)
And our elf, Hadny, kept us on our toes with his interesting hiding spots.
Despite still feeling a wee bit green, it's been a pretty okay week. I'm looking forward to some baking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and last-minute present gathering in the next few days.
Happy Sunday everyone!
