'Fess Up Friday ~ Sep 3

  • I picked an entire flat of strawberries and then left them out overnight because I didn't have room in my fridge. By the next afternoon they were already moldy.

  • My son lost five Nintendo DS games. I don't even want to do the math on that one. **update-- we found the games, but didn't tell him. I'm hoping he's going to learn a life lesson from this. Maybe I'll wrap them up and give them to him as a present.**

  • I don't watch QVC anymore because I cannot be trusted not to buy an electronic pressure cooker.

  • I wore a pair of jeans today that had a hole right by the zipper. I'm 50% sure you couldn't see my underwear.

  • I let my five-year-old help me pick out songs for our roadtrip. He thought "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" sounded cool. I agreed. Then we got vetoed in favor of "Who Let The Dogs Out"

  • I bought a book to read on the roadtrip and had it sitting on my Kindle for a week. Two days before we left I broke down and devoured the whole thing, because apparently I have no self control.

  • Because of said reading bonanza, I stayed up WAY too late getting ready the night before departure. Eh, I'm not sorry.

  • The rampant overuse of exclamation points drives me bananas. Adding three or four to every sentence makes me feel like you are "up in my grill" with way too much energy. However, there are a few situations that warrant more than one exclamation point, such as "FIRE!!!" or maybe "BRAD PITT!!!" In those cases, please, use as many as you need.

  • Okay, kids, what kind of weird or embarrassing things did you get up to this week?

  1. I just found this post from your Wonder Woman interview and I had to comment. I am so guilty of the "rampant overuse of exclamation points" and it made me laugh. But I can't stop! How else are people going to know that I am happy and smiling?! I should let my words paint the picture blah, blah, blah... but I love exclamation point so much more! Love reading through your blog!!!

I adore reading your comments; they bring sunshine to my day. Thanks for reading!
