Exiting news for me!

In the last year I have discovered that there is entire movement (earlier today I had put in sub-culture and then I looked it up and realized that is NOT the word I wanted) of crafty people out there who love scrapbooking just as much as I do and are willing to share their thoughts and opinion on the matter. I thought I was the only crazy one who obsessed over this hobby-- not so! I've been a part of a wonderful message board community over at My Kits & Pieces for about six months, and recently they asked me to be the message board moderator and to join their design team. I never, never, never thought I would have an opportunity like this and I am so excited to be a part of that team. The women on the message board have genuinely become my friends and its so nice to be a part of something like this.

A couple weeks ago I entered the "50 Moments" contest at Scrapwords  on a whim, late at night, and promptly forgot that I had done so. Today I got an email from Leslie  telling me that I had won! I am getting an autographed copy of Lisa Bearnson's new book and at some point this week my layout (the one of Greyson and his bunny that was in an April post) will be featured on their website. I am so stoked!

I have some sweet photos from Mother's Day that I hope to share soon, but I'm off to take Greyson to his first swimming lesson. This is my fearless child who already thinks he can swim and would have drowned twice last summer if his mother didn't watch him like a hawk. SO, this should help keep my blood pressure in check this year =)
